Online Church Service can Protect the Old and Vulnerable

There has been a misconception on the closure of churches since the commencement of COVID-19 worldwide. Most of these misconceptions have been propagated by individuals who stand to benefit from the church services being done in church buildings.

Remember that one does not need a church building to carry out a church service. This assertion has been proven to be true judging from the number of successful online services that were carried out during the full closure of the church buildings.

The book of Acts chapter 7:48 reads “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. “https://biblehub.com/acts/7-48.htm.

There was a time when a Samaritan woman asked Jesus that their ancestors worshipped on this mountain, yet the Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem; and Jesus replied “Woman, believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem”. Jesus said “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks”. John 4:20-24

Even with the easing of the restrictions on religious gatherings, I want to implore the church and religious leaders not to stop the online services so that the old and vulnerable in the society can still continue their church service from the safety of their homes to avert any tragedy.
