Happy New Year dear friends

Another year has begun and there are few who are happy because they were able to achieve their dreams and there many who are sad because they were not able to achieve their dreams.

Now you may be thinking that you couldn’t achieve your goals in the year because you didn’t pray enough or because you didn’t work hard enough. 

Truth be told, if at this particular point in time you still don’t know the reason why you were not able to achieve your goals for last year then it simply means that you are still going to repeat those same mistakes you made last year and fail again. 

Now to achieve your goals for the current year, the question to ask yourself is how do I achieve my goals? 

Not until you answer this question, you will in no way achieve your goals. 

The only way to achieve your goals is to set a clear path to achieving those goals. That is, if your goal is to buy a car, you don’t just sit down and say I am going to buy a car by the Close of the year.  

You need to ask questions like

1. What types of cars do I like?
2. How much do these cars cost 
3. How do I intend to buy the car (by loan or by cash)
4. If it is by cash what is my income stream? How much do I have to save every month to be able to buy the car?
5. If it is by loan, which bank will be ready to give me the loan? What are their requirements? Do I currently qualify for their requirement? If not what do I have to put in place to qualify for it?

If your goal for this year is to get married you don’t have to follow the same routine you did last year. 

You have to ask yourself basic questions like where do couples meet the most, what attracts the opposite sex to other another etc.

In a recent survey by the isearch team, it was revealed that 

Most couples met their partners at the school (senior high school, university), followed by the workplace then social gathering and religious place of worship. 

Thus, the results seem to suggest that to increase your chances of achieving a marriage goal you need to visit these places the most. You also need to research on what attracts a male to a female and vice versa.

Examine yourself to see if you need a change of wardrobe or change of attitude. Regularly update your social media pages with decent pictures because you will never know who is admiring your posts.

Finally, you may have a goal of going for your masters, starting your own business, changing your job, etc. just adopt these outlined principles and always remember that your goal needs to be SMART…
